Rich Mueller, an award-winning Class A PGA Professional, is currently the head men's golf coach and Director of Golf at Columbia University. With 25 years of teaching and coaching experience, Mueller has significantly impacted the college and amateur golf communities.
In 2014, Mueller founded Rich Mueller Golf, LLC, now KickPoint, LLC (2024), which is the central hub for his various golf-related ventures. These include junior camps, stats-based player consulting, expert witness services, and golf-related products.
Under his leadership, the Columbia Lions have achieved remarkable success:
- Five Ivy League team championships (four men's and one women's)
- Six NCAA postseason team appearances, and
- One NCAA Honorable Mention All-American
- Three individual Ivy League champions
- Three Ivy League Player of the Year award-winners
- 22 tournament victories
- 29 All-Ivy League golfers
In December 2023, Mueller was honored with the Labron Harris Jr. National Award in recognition of his contributions to college golf and the MET section.
